Our Commitment to Elder Care
At the Regional Family Council Consortium Network (RFCCN), we are dedicated to ensuring the dignity, safety, and well-being of our elderly population. Founded in Chicago, RFCCN operates with a mission to eradicate abuse and neglect within nursing homes and long-term care facilities across the nation. Our organization was born out of a deep concern for the vulnerable elderly who are often overlooked and underserved in these settings.
Our mission is to be the voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, advocating for the highest standards of care in nursing homes and long-term treatment centers.

JULIA PRESTON
Julia Preston founded the Regional Family Council Consortium Network (RFCCN) after experiencing firsthand the challenges of navigating her brother’s transition from hospital care to a nursing home following a debilitating illness in 2012.
Unprepared for the complex legal and financial documentation required, she relied on the guidance of a hospital social worker. This experience highlighted the lack of preparedness many families face in similar situations, motivating her to create a manual to help others make informed decisions about long-term care facilities.
Personal Experience
Julia Preston’s journey began with her brother’s debilitating illness and the subsequent challenges she faced in managing his transition to a nursing home.
Realization
The complexity of handling legal and financial matters during this time revealed a common gap in knowledge and preparedness among families.
Mission
